Natasha’s lifelong connection to textiles began early, inspired by her mother’s clothing creations and her own love of fashion. After moving from New York City to San Francisco in the 1970s, she set out to learn weaving and found an extraordinary teacher in Kay Sekimachi.

Drawn to the beauty and versatility of natural fibers, Natasha works primarily with linen and silk, exploring the unique way each fiber absorbs color. She moved to Santa Fe in 1974 and continues to live and work there, creating original textiles through color, pattern, and process.

Her work incorporates resist-dye techniques such as ikat and Shibori, using wrapped, clipped, sewn, or twisted fibers and fabrics before dyeing to create layered patterns, rich color variations, and expressive handwoven pieces.
