Perla Kopeloff

Perla Kopeloff graduated as an architect in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and traveled throughout Europe before bringing her deep experience in design, color, and texture to the United States. She later became a weaver and papermaker, selling her work in Virginia, New Mexico, and Colorado, and served as an Artist in Residence for the Colorado Art Council, where she taught handmade papermaking in schools.

Now based in Alamosa, Colorado, Perla creates felted wearable art that reflects a thoughtful interpretation of ancient design combined with contemporary nuno-felting techniques. Inspired by the surrounding mountains, Southwest light, and vivid sunsets, her pieces convey a rich sense of color, texture, and place.
