Alexis Abrams has been making wearable art for over 35 years. She lives in Los Angeles, California, awhere she continues to be inspired by the rich design history of Modernist, Japanese and Mexican art. Her hand-painted silk clothing has been shown in galleries and fashion shows throughout the country and has received many awards, including the Award for Excellence from the Textile Center in Minneapolis and the Juror’s Choice Award for a Body of Work from Uncommon Threads Fashion Show in Saint Charles, Illinois. She was featured in The Fiberarts Book Of Wearable Art by Katherine Aimone and The Fiberarts Design Book 7.
Also a landscape painter, her art has been exhibited at the San Diego Museum of Art as well as galleries in New York, Los Angeles, and New Mexico.
