Doe Cross - Doezignz

Doe Cross’s travels and studies have taken her through South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, shaping her lifelong interest in culture, art, and design. She earned a degree in Cultural Anthropology and Film from San Francisco State University and went on to work in exhibit research, video and television production, and nonprofit arts administration.

Doe’s fascination with paper arts began with origami and expanded through her study of Japanese and Western papermaking. Through experimentation, she developed a distinctive style rooted in texture, balance, and simplicity.

Since opening her studio in 1989, Doe has created handmade paper and mixed media jewelry, each piece designed and made individually. Her work combines paper, wood, paint, pearls, and text to create elegant compositions that reflect the harmony between nature’s organic forms and the touch of the human hand.
